Profile

I joined the King Abdul Aziz University, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology as a demonstrator in Histotechnology on 29.12.1429H

During my internship year, I was interested in the field of molecular biology and took a 6-months training at The Special Infectious Agents Unit (SIAU) at King Fahd Medical Research center. Then I got an opportunity to work at the Center of Excellence In Genomic Medicine (CEGMR) at King Fahad for Medical Research Center in an environment of experienced research staff (www.kau.edu.sa/centers/cegmr). The center is one of the top and unique research centers in the Kingdom and equipped with the state-of-art facilities related to molecular biology and cytogenetics.

In August 31st 2012, I have earned my MSc degree in Histotechnology from the College of Medicine of Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pa, USA.

I have completed my PhD program an awarded the degree in February 2021 from the University of Sheffield, UK. My PhD was in the field of wound healing and my research project title was "Trafficking and signalling of Syndecan-4 during wound healing".
